Kalamullah's course to learn Arabic for new Muslims takes students from the Arabic letters and their sounds through the words of Salah, daily Islamic expressions, and core Islamic vocabulary, straight to reading and understanding Al-Fatihah and short Surahs.
The course is built for reverts who are starting from zero and want to pray, make du'a, and read the Quran with confidence and understanding.
6–9Kalamullah’s Arabic basics for reverts begin with the Arabic letters, their sounds, and vowel marks. Students then learn the Arabic of Salah with its meanings: the Takbir, Al-Fatihah, the words of Ruku’, rising, and Sujud, the Tashahhud, the Salah upon the Prophet ﷺ, and the Tasleem.
Alongside this, they learn everyday Islamic expressions such as Bismillah, Alhamdulillah, and In sha Allah, along with core Islamic vocabulary, before moving to reading and understanding short Surahs from Juz Amma.
Kalamullah understands that a new Muslim's first goal is to pray with confidence. The course puts the Arabic of Salah first and teaches the meaning of every phrase, so reverts understand what they say from the very beginning.
Every teacher assigned to Kalamullah’s Arabic Course for New Muslims has formal study in Arabic and Islamic studies and experience teaching reverts. Credentials are verified before assignment, so every word and meaning is taught accurately and kindly.
Kalamullah's Arabic basics for reverts begin with the words used five times a day. Students learn the Takbir, Al-Fatihah, and the phrases of Ruku', Sujud, and Tashahhud early, so their prayer grows in confidence while they learn to read.
Every lesson at Kalamullah is private, so new Muslims can ask any question without hesitation. Pronunciation is corrected gently, and difficult points are repeated until the student feels comfortable.
Kalamullah provides qualified female teachers for sisters who prefer or require a same-gender teacher. The preference is selected at registration and honored from the trial session onward, with no change to scheduling or lesson content.
Kalamullah's curriculum moves from letters and Salah to daily expressions, Islamic vocabulary, and short Surahs in a fixed order. No step is rushed, and the teacher confirms each one is understood before the student advances.

The course opens with a relaxed conversation about the student's journey, what they already know, and what they most want to achieve, such as praying confidently or reading the Quran.
The teacher uses this to set a comfortable pace and a starting point that fits the student, with no pressure and no assumed knowledge.
Students learn the Arabic letters, their sounds, and the vowel marks, with gentle focus on sounds that do not exist in English. Reading practice uses words from Salah wherever possible.
By the end of this module, students read simple voweled words and pronounce the key letters of Salah clearly.
The teacher teaches the Takbir, Al-Fatihah, the words of Ruku’, rising from Ruku’, and Sujud, the Tashahhud, the Salah upon the Prophet ﷺ, and the Tasleem, one phrase at a time, with the meaning of each word explained in English.
Each phrase is practiced until the student recites it correctly and understands what it means, so their prayer becomes more confident and focused.
Students learn everyday expressions such as Bismillah, Alhamdulillah, In sha Allah, and Jazak Allahu Khayran, and the core vocabulary of Islam, including Tawheed, Salah, Zakah, and Sawm.
Students learn when and how to use each expression, helping them feel at home in their local Muslim community.
The final module brings everything together. Students read short Surahs from Juz Amma aloud and learn their meaning word by word with their teacher.
At the close of this module, new Muslims pray and recite with understanding and have the foundation to continue into Kalamullah’s Quran Reading Course for New Muslims or the Quranic Arabic Course for Beginners.
Every outcome below is something the student can demonstrate to their Kalamullah teacher by the end of the Arabic Course for New Muslims, not simply a topic that was covered during sessions.

No. The course is designed for new Muslims starting from zero. Students who have never seen Arabic letters begin with the letters and the words of Salah in their first sessions.
Start with the Arabic you use every day in Salah, learn the meaning of each phrase, then build reading skills and vocabulary step by step. Kalamullah's course follows this order with a live teacher guiding you.
Yes. Prayer begins from the day you accept Islam. While you are learning Al-Fatihah, scholars advise reciting whatever you have learned so far, and the Prophet ﷺ taught a man who could not yet learn the Quran to say “Subhan Allah, wal-hamdu lillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah” in its place (Abu Dawud). Your teacher will help you learn Al-Fatihah first so your prayer is complete as soon as possible.
Yes. Every phrase of Salah is taught together with its meaning in English, so you understand what you recite in every prayer.
