Live one-to-one lesson example.
Kalamullah’s Al-Azhar Arabic Course is for learners at every level who want to study Fusha and classical Arabic grammar through the Azhari method. It is taught live by instructors trained at Al-Azhar, in one-on-one sessions that fit your schedule.
6–9The course runs from complete beginner to advanced classical proficiency across three levels. Learners build Fusha reading and conversation, then study Nahw through the traditional Azhari sequence of texts, beginning with al-Ajurrumiyyah, with I’rab practice at every stage.
Learners who want to focus only on the grammar of the Quran can join our Quranic Arabic Grammar Course instead.
Kalamullah delivers the Azhari grammar-first approach through live one-on-one sessions with Al-Azhar-trained instructors, giving every learner direct access to a tradition of Arabic teaching refined over more than a thousand years.
Every instructor in the course is a graduate of Al-Azhar or an equivalent institution, trained in the Azhari system and able to explain I’rab and Nahw with the precision formal Azhari study demands.
Each session is private and live, not pre-recorded. Your tutor works through Nahw, Fusha reading, and I'rab parsing in real time, correcting pronunciation and grammatical analysis immediately so errors do not become habits over successive lessons.
Kalamullah matches female students with qualified female Al-Azhar-trained tutors on request. Sisters studying Fusha, classical text reading, or any level of the Al-Azhar Arabic Course can select their preferred tutor gender at the enrollment stage without any additional process.
Kalamullah offers session slots six days a week across a wide range of hours, so learners in different regions can book morning, afternoon, or evening classes without disrupting work or school. Sessions are reschedulable with advance notice through the student portal.
Beginners start with the alphabet and first Fusha readers. Intermediate learners build conversation and begin Nahw with al-Ajurrumiyyah. Advanced students continue to [Qatr al-Nada / the Alfiyyah of Ibn Malik] and read selections from classical Arabic scholarship.

Book a free trialKalamullah's Al-Azhar Arabic Course moves learners from alphabet recognition through advanced classical grammar in three clearly defined stages, each building directly on the one before.
Beginner students start with the Iqraa book, learning all 28 Arabic letters in their isolated, initial, medial, and final forms. Tutors drill correct pronunciation for each letter before any grammar instruction begins.
Writing practice runs alongside reading from the first session, so students develop letter formation alongside recognition rather than separating the two skills.
Once the alphabet is secure, learners move into Al-Tamheedi, which introduces foundational Nahw: nouns, pronouns, simple verbs, and prepositions. Tutors teach students to construct and parse simple Arabic sentences correctly before advancing.
Simple sentences like subject-predicate structures are practiced repeatedly until the student produces them accurately without prompting, confirming readiness for the intermediate stage.
Intermediate learners build everyday Fusha through dialogue-based textbooks, practiced live with the tutor. Alongside this, they begin al-Ajurrumiyyah, learning the parts of speech, case endings, and the basics of I’rab.
Grammar at this stage expands to include dual forms, regular masculine and feminine plurals, and more complex sentence structures, each introduced through the text and then drilled in tutor-led speaking practice.
Advanced learners continue beyond al-Ajurrumiyyah, written by Ibn Ajurrum in the 14th century and taught in Azhari circles for generations, into [Qatr al-Nada / the Alfiyyah of Ibn Malik]. Students perform full I’rab of complex sentences, covering conditional sentences, diptote nouns, and Kana and its sisters in depth.. This direct engagement with authentic classical texts is the heart of the Azhari method, giving learners the tools to read classical Arabic works with growing independence.
At the advanced stage, students read selections from the Quran, Hadith, and classical Arabic poetry under tutor guidance. Each passage is parsed grammatically, analyzed rhetorically, and discussed for vocabulary and structure.
This direct engagement with authentic classical texts is the defining outcome of the Azhari method, producing learners who can access Arabic scholarship from any historical era without relying on translation.
Every outcome below is a demonstrable skill that students can apply in reading, writing, and speaking Fusha Arabic after completing the relevant level of Kalamullah's Al-Azhar Arabic Course.
Students correctly read and write all 28 Arabic letters in their four positional forms. Letter formation is accurate enough for dictation exercises and basic Fusha text reading at beginner level without tutor prompting.
Learners construct grammatically correct Arabic sentences using nouns, pronouns, verbs, and prepositions studied in Al-Tamheedi, producing subject-predicate structures that a native Arabic reader would recognize as correctly formed Fusha.
Intermediate graduates hold extended conversations in Fusha Arabic on everyday topics including family, home, work, and shopping. Students use dual and plural forms correctly and respond to tutor-led dialogues without written support.
Advanced students identify the grammatical function and case ending of every word in a given Arabic sentence, Advanced students identify the grammatical function and case ending of every word in a given Arabic sentence, applying the I’rab system studied through al-Ajurrumiyyah and the texts that follow it.
Advanced learners read selections from the Quran, Hadith, and classical Arabic poetry with grammatical analysis, identifying rhetorical structure and parsing unfamiliar sentences using the Azhari grammar tools acquired through earlier levels of the course.
Students apply conditional sentences, diptote noun rules, and Kana and its sisters correctly in both written exercises and spoken analysis. These structures are tested through tutor-led parsing drills before the advanced level is considered complete.
