Live one-to-one lesson example.
Kalamullah's Maliki Fiqh course teaches the school's rulings of worship and daily life through its classical primers, with the evidence and the practice of Madinah behind each ruling, in live one-on-one sessions in English with a teacher trained in Maliki Fiqh.
6–9The course begins with the life and method of Imam Malik and the sources of the Maliki school, including the practice of the people of Madinah. Students then study the Maliki rulings of Taharah, Salah including Sadl, Sawm, Zakah, and Hajj, followed by selected rulings of daily life.
The course is taught through classical Maliki primers such as Mukhtasar al-Akhdari and the Matn of Ibn ‘Ashir, with each ruling explained with its evidence.
Many Maliki families have practiced the school for generations without studying its texts. Kalamullah's Maliki Fiqh course teaches the rulings in order, through the school's own primers, so practice is matched with understanding.
Every teacher assigned to Kalamullah’s Maliki Fiqh course has formal study in Maliki Fiqh and its classical texts from a recognized institution. Credentials are verified before assignment.
Each ruling is taught with the evidence Imam Malik and later Maliki scholars relied on, including al-Muwatta' and the practice of Madinah, so students understand why the school holds its position.
Every lesson is private, so students can bring the questions they face, from the prostrations of forgetfulness to Zakah on a harvest, and see how the Maliki school answers them.
Kalamullah provides qualified female Maliki Fiqh teachers for sisters who prefer or require a same-gender teacher, including for rulings specific to women. The preference is honored throughout the course.
Students who already pray the Maliki way learn the reasons behind what they do, from Sadl to the order of the prostrations of forgetfulness, so inherited practice becomes informed practice.

Students study the life of Imam Malik in Madinah, his book al-Muwatta', the sources the school relies on, and the role of the practice of the people of Madinah.
This background prepares students to read Maliki rulings with understanding.
The teacher covers water, Wudu, Ghusl, Tayammum, and what breaks purification according to the Maliki school, following Mukhtasar al-Akhdari.
Students apply each ruling to practical cases before the unit closes.
Students study the times, obligations, Sunnahs, and virtues of Salah in the Maliki school, including Sadl, prostrations of forgetfulness, travel prayers, and making up missed prayers.
The teacher reviews the student’s own prayer against the Maliki method, with a same-gender teacher where the student demonstrates it.
The teacher covers the Maliki rulings of fasting, how Zakah is calculated on savings, gold, crops, and livestock, and the essential rulings of Hajj and Umrah, with verses from the Matn of Ibn 'Ashir.
Practical cases include Zakah calculations and common fasting questions.
The final unit covers selected Maliki rulings on food, dress, and basic transactions, drawing on [al-Risalah of Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani / the teacher’s guided explanation], since the opening primers focus on worship.
At the close of this unit, students practice worship with a clear grasp of the Maliki school and its Madinan roots, ready to compare it with the other schools in Kalamullah’s Comparative Fiqh Course.
Every outcome below is something the student can demonstrate to their Kalamullah teacher by the end of the Maliki Fiqh course, not simply a topic that was covered during sessions.
