Hold to the Hadith first, and to the statements of the Companions wherever they exist. That principle, carried by Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal through years of trial in Baghdad, shapes every ruling of the Hanbali school. Followed widely across the Arabian Peninsula and studied by students of knowledge everywhere, it is known for its close attention to the texts of the Sunnah.
6–9The course begins with the life and method of Imam Ahmad, the sources the Hanbali school relies on, and how the Mu’tamad position is identified among the narrations from him. Students then study the Hanbali rulings of Taharah, including the school’s distinctive rulings on what breaks Wudu, followed by Salah, Sawm, Zakah, and Hajj, and selected rulings of daily life.
The course is taught through ‘Umdat al-Fiqh by Ibn Qudamah, with each ruling explained with its evidence.
The Hanbali school often records more than one narration from Imam Ahmad on a question, which can confuse students studying alone. Kalamullah teaches the relied-upon position clearly, with its evidence, through the school's own classical text.
Every teacher assigned to Kalamullah’s Hanbali Fiqh course has formal study in Hanbali Fiqh and its classical texts from a recognized institution. Credentials are verified before assignment.
Each ruling is taught with the Hadith and statements of the Companions the Hanbali scholars relied on, so students see how closely the school follows the texts.
Every lesson is private, so students can bring their own questions, from combining prayers while traveling to calculating Zakah on savings, and see exactly how the Hanbali school answers them.
Kalamullah provides qualified female Hanbali Fiqh teachers for sisters who prefer or require a same-gender teacher, including for rulings specific to women. The preference is honored throughout the course.
Students learn which narration from Imam Ahmad the school relies on for each question, so their practice follows the madhhab with confidence instead of uncertainty.
