In Kufa, in the second century of Islam, Imam Abu Hanifa sat with his students and debated each question until the evidence and reasoning were clear, then his students Abu Yusuf and Muhammad al-Shaybani carried that method across the Muslim world.
Today the Hanafi school is followed by a large share of Muslims worldwide, from South Asia to Turkey and Central Asia.
6–9The course begins with the history and method of the Hanafi school and its key terminology, including the distinction between Fard and Wajib and between Makruh Tahrimi and Tanzihi. Students then study the Hanafi rulings of Taharah, Salah including Witr, Sawm, Zakah, and Hajj, followed by selected rulings of daily life.
The course is taught through classical Hanafi primers such as Nur al-Idah and Mukhtasar al-Quduri, with each ruling explained with its evidence.
Many Hanafi Muslims learned to pray the Hanafi way from family, without ever studying why. Kalamullah’s Hanafi Fiqh online course teaches the school properly, through its own texts and terminology, so practice rests on understanding.
Every teacher assigned to Kalamullah’s Hanafi Fiqh course has formal study in Hanafi Fiqh and its classical texts from a recognized institution. Credentials are verified before assignment.
Each ruling is taught with the evidence and reasoning the Hanafi scholars relied on, so students understand why the school holds its position, not only what it is.
Every lesson is private, so students can ask how Hanafi rulings apply to their own worship, travel, work, and family life.
Kalamullah provides qualified female Hanafi Fiqh teachers for sisters who prefer or require a same-gender teacher, including for rulings specific to women. The preference is honored throughout the course.
By studying one madhhab in order, students understand how its rulings fit together and practice their worship consistently according to Hanafi Fiqh.
