HOW IT WORKS

What the Online Arabic Grammar Course Covers From Day One

Students work through parts of speech, I’rab case endings, verb conjugation, sentence types, and pronouns, beginning with the classical primer al-Ajurrumiyyah and applying each rule to real Arabic and Quranic sentences.

Lessons are taught entirely in English, so students who can read basic Arabic script can begin with no previous grammar study. Learners who cannot yet read the letters should start with our Arabic Alphabet Course for Beginners.

  • The Building Blocks: Nouns, verbs, and particles, and the two sentence types of Arabic.
  • Forms and Conjugation: Gender, number, pronouns, and verb conjugation in every tense.
  • I’rab From the Start: Every sentence parsed aloud, with each case ending explained by its grammatical reason.
WHY KALAMULLAH

What Sets Kalamullah Arabic Grammar Lessons Apart

Kalamullah pairs every grammar student with a qualified instructor whose teaching is built around I’rab, real sentences, and Quranic examples, not generic textbook drills. It is the most direct way to learn Arabic grammar for reading, not just for exams.

1. Tutors With Verified Arabic Credentials

Kalamullah’s grammar instructors have studied Nahw and Sarf through traditional institutional programs, so every correction is grounded in classical scholarship rather than simplified translation.

02

2. Live One-on-One Sessions Built Per Student Level

Private live sessions mean the instructor adjusts pace, examples, and explanation depth to match the individual learner. Students working through Arabic grammar for beginners content receive different drill types than those at intermediate Kana-and-sisters level, within the same course structure.

03

3. Female Tutors for Sisters and Girls

Female students and girls at any level can be matched with a qualified female Arabic grammar instructor. Kalamullah makes this option available at enrollment, and students may switch instructor gender preference at any point during the course without restarting their progress track.

04

4. Session Times Across Seven Days Weekly

Kalamullah offers session slots across morning, afternoon, and evening hours, seven days a week. Students select their preferred time at enrollment and may reschedule sessions with prior notice, making the online Arabic grammar course sustainable alongside full-time work, university study, or parenting responsibilities.

05

5. Quranic Arabic Grammar Through Classical Text Application

Rather than drilling grammar rules in isolation, Kalamullah applies each Nahw concept to real Quranic sentences from the first beginner session onward. Students learn to identify grammatical roles in authentic Arabic text, building the parsing habit that transfers directly to independent Quran reading.

COURSE STRUCTURE

How Kalamullah Structures Arabic Grammar Lessons Online

Kalamullah's Arabic grammar course follows five sequential phases, each building directly on the one before it.

1

1. Foundations of Arabic Parts of Speech and Sentence Types

Students begin by identifying the three core Arabic word categories: nouns (ism), verbs (fi'l), and particles (harf). Each category is introduced with its grammatical function and illustrated through short Arabic sentences.

Nominal and verbal sentence structures are introduced side by side so students can distinguish sentence types from the earliest sessions. Tutors use Quranic examples to anchor each new concept in real Arabic text.

2

2. Mastery of Arabic Noun Forms and Pronoun Patterns

Noun study covers singular, dual, and plural forms across masculine and feminine categories. Students learn to identify sound plurals, broken plurals, and the six special nouns that carry distinct grammatical behaviors.

Personal, demonstrative, relative, and interrogative pronouns are then layered in, with each pronoun type drilled through sentence-building exercises. Tutors correct case endings in real time during live sessions throughout this phase.

3

3. Teaching Verb Conjugations Through Tense and Voice Drills

Past, present, and imperative verb forms are conjugated across all pronoun categories, covering both regular verbs and weak verb patterns. Students build the conjugation habit through repetition drills before moving to the passive voice and the Five Verbs (al-Af’al al-Khamsa), whose endings follow their own rules.

Kana and her sisters are introduced at this phase alongside Inna and her sisters, showing how each particle type changes case endings on the sentence's subject and predicate. Quranic examples illustrate each particle family directly.

4

4. Students Build I'rab Arabic Grammar Parsing Skills

I'rab case-ending analysis is practiced aloud using complete Arabic sentences. Students identify each word's grammatical role, state its case, and give the grammatical reason, following the traditional parsing method used in classical Nahw study.

The accusative (Mansub) forms are studied in this phase, including the direct object, the absolute object, and the circumstantial expression (Hal). Tutors introduce unvowelled text progressively so students begin supplying correct case endings from grammatical context rather than printed marks.

5

5. Advanced Nahw and Quranic Arabic Grammar Analysis

Advanced students work through diptotes, exception structures using illa, numeral-noun agreement rules, and selected Balagha rhetoric concepts. Grammar is applied directly to Quranic verse analysis and classical Arabic prose passages.

Advanced students continue beyond al-Ajurrumiyyah into [Qatr al-Nada / a fuller grammar text], with the tutor guiding sentence parsing and commentary on each section.

What You’ll Achieve

What Students Gain From Arabic Grammar Lessons Online

Kalamullah's Arabic grammar course produces verifiable, demonstrable skills across reading, parsing, writing, and Quranic Arabic comprehension at every completed level.

I'rab Case-Ending Application

Students can correctly identify the grammatical case of any noun or verb in a given Arabic sentence, state the grammatical reason aloud, and supply the correct case ending on unvowelled text using Nahw rules rather than guesswork.

Verb Conjugation Across All Tenses

Students conjugate past, present, and imperative Arabic verbs correctly for all pronoun categories, including weak and defective verb patterns, and can shift between active and passive voice without error in written and spoken exercises.

Quranic Arabic Grammar Comprehension

Students parse selected Quranic verses grammatically, identify subject and predicate roles, and explain how a change in case ending alters sentence meaning. This skill is assessed in live tutor sessions using authentic Quranic text, not constructed practice sentences.

Nominal and Verbal Sentence Construction

Students write grammatically correct nominal and verbal sentences in Arabic, applying the correct mubtada-khabar structure in nominal sentences and correct fa'il placement in verbal sentences, with accurate gender and number agreement throughout.

Arabic Root Pattern Recognition

Students identify the triliteral root of an Arabic word and predict related noun and verb forms using Sarf morphological patterns. Tutors test this skill through vocabulary derivation exercises drawn from common Quranic root families at intermediate and advanced levels.

Reading Lightly Voweled Sentences:

Students read simple sentences with few vowel marks and supply the missing endings from grammatical context.

The tutor confirms this on unfamiliar sentences in a live session.
