HOW IT WORKS

What the Advanced Quranic Arabic Course Covers

Kalamullah's advanced Quranic Arabic course covers weak and irregular verbs, I'lal and Ibdal, the full range of Mansubat such as Hal, Tamyeez, Maf'ul Mutlaq, and Istithna', complex Idafah and relative clauses, and the three sciences of Balaghah: Ma'ani, Bayan, and Badi', all applied directly to ayat from the Mushaf.

This course is designed for students who have completed Kalamullah's Quranic Arabic course or an equivalent program, and can already identify roots, verb patterns, and basic case endings.

  • Prerequisite: You already identify roots, verb patterns and basic case endings in simple ayat.
  • Core Content: Weak verbs and I’lal, the full range of Mansubat, complex I’rab, and the three sciences of Balaghah.
  • Endpoint: Independent grammatical and rhetorical analysis of an extended passage, compared with classical linguistic Tafseer.
WHY KALAMULLAH

Why Advanced Learners Choose Kalamullah for Quranic Arabic

1. Teachers Specialized in Advanced Nahw, Sarf, and Balaghah

Every teacher assigned to Kalamullah's advanced Quranic Arabic course is a native Arabic speaker with formal specialization in Arabic grammar, morphology, and rhetoric. Credentials are verified before assignment, so complex points are explained with accuracy and scholarly depth.

02

2. Studying Grammar as a Key to Quranic Meaning

At the advanced level, I'rab is not an exercise in labeling words. Kalamullah teachers show how a single case ending, particle, or word order changes the meaning of an ayah, connecting every grammatical decision to its effect on understanding.

03

3. Live One-on-One Analysis of Complete Passages

Every advanced lesson at Kalamullah is private, so the student analyzes long passages aloud while the teacher corrects and discusses each decision. Difficult points are debated and resolved in the session rather than left for self-study.

04

4. Female Arabic Teachers for Sisters

Kalamullah provides qualified female advanced Arabic teachers for students who prefer or require a same-gender teacher. The preference is selected at registration and honored from the trial session onward, with no change to scheduling or lesson content.

05

5. A Structured Path From Advanced Grammar to Balaghah

Kalamullah's advanced curriculum moves from complex Sarf and Nahw to Balaghah and independent analysis in a fixed order. No module is skipped, and the teacher confirms each one is applied correctly before the student advances.

COURSE STRUCTURE

How Kalamullah Structures the Advanced Quranic Arabic Course

Each module builds directly on the previous one, giving advanced learners a clear path from complex grammar to the linguistic and rhetorical depth of the Quran.

1

1. Advanced Placement and Foundation Review:

The course opens with an assessment of the student's command of roots, verb patterns, and basic I'rab through analysis of a selected Quranic passage. The teacher identifies any gaps from the foundation level before advanced study begins.

Students with minor gaps receive short targeted reviews, ensuring every advanced rule is built on accurate foundational knowledge.

2

2. Advanced Sarf: Weak Verbs and I'lal:

Students study the Mithal, Ajwaf, Naqis, and Lafeef verbs, along with the rules of I'lal and Ibdal that change their forms. Each verb type is traced through its appearances in the Quran.

By the end of this module, students recognize the root of any weak verb in the Mushaf, even when letters have changed or disappeared.

3

3. Advanced Nahw: Complex I'rab:

The teacher introduces the full range of Mansubat, including Hal, Tamyeez, Maf'ul Mutlaq, Maf'ul Li-Ajlih, and Istithna', together with complex Idafah, relative clauses, and conditional sentences. Each is analyzed in complete ayat.

Students learn to handle ayat where more than one I'rab is possible, and to explain how each option affects the meaning.

4

4. Balaghah in the Quran: Ma'ani, Bayan, and Badi':

Students study the rhetorical sciences as they appear in the Quran: Taqdim and Ta'khir, Hadhf, Qasr, and Istifham in Ma'ani, Tashbih, Isti'arah, and Kinayah in Bayan, and selected features of Badi'.

Each concept is illustrated with ayat that students already recite, revealing layers of meaning that translation cannot convey.

5

5. Independent Analysis and Linguistic Tafseer:

The final module brings every skill together. Students perform I’rab of short, complete ayat and translate passages directly from the Mushaf with their teacher.

At the close of this module, students read the Quran with direct understanding of its basic language, and the foundation needed to continue into Kalamullah’s Advanced Quranic Arabic Course or Quran Tafseer Course.

What You’ll Achieve

What Students Achieve in the Advanced Quranic Arabic Course

Every outcome below is something the student can demonstrate to their Kalamullah teacher by the end of the advanced Quranic Arabic course, not simply a topic that was covered during sessions.

Trace Weak Verbs to Their Roots:

Students identify the root and verb type of any weak verb in the Mushaf, including forms affected by I'lal and Ibdal. This is assessed in live analysis of passages the student has not studied in advance.

Perform Complex I'rab of Extended Passages:

Students give the full I'rab of long ayat containing Hal, Tamyeez, Istithna', and conditional structures.

They justify every case ending with the rule that requires it.

Explain Multiple Possible I'rab Readings:

Students identify ayat where more than one grammatical analysis is valid.

They explain how each analysis shifts the meaning of the ayah, verified by the teacher in live discussion.

Identify Balaghah Features in the Ayat:

Students recognize Taqdim and Ta'khir, Hadhf, Qasr, Tashbih, Isti'arah, and Kinayah as they appear in Quranic passages.

They explain the purpose each feature serves in the meaning of the ayah.

Engage With Linguistic Tafseer Directly:

Students read and follow linguistic explanations of ayat in classical Arabic Tafseer works.

They compare their own analysis with the scholarly explanation and discuss any difference.

Analyze a Full Passage Independently:

Students complete a full grammatical and rhetorical analysis of an extended Quranic passage without guidance.

This independent analysis is the measurable endpoint of the advanced Quranic Arabic course at Kalamullah.
