Live one-to-one lesson example.
Kalamullah's beginner Tajweed course takes students from what Tajweed is and why it matters through correct letter pronunciation and the basic Tajweed rules of Noon Sakinah, Meem Sakinah, Ghunnah, Madd, and Qalqalah, straight to reciting the short Surahs of Juz Amma with confidence.
The course is built for children and adults who can read the Quran but have never studied Tajweed before. Every lesson is taught live and one-on-one by a qualified Kalamullah teacher, with each rule explained simply in English and practiced immediately in recitation. Students progress one rule at a time, building correct habits from the very first lesson.
6–9Kalamullah's beginner Tajweed course covers the meaning and importance of Tajweed, correct pronunciation of the letters beginners most often get wrong, heavy and light letters, the basic Tajweed rules of Noon Sakinah and Tanween, Meem Sakinah, Ghunnah, the natural Madd and its basic types, Qalqalah, and the main Waqf symbols, all applied in recitation of the short Surahs of Juz Amma.
This course is designed for children and adults who read from the Mushaf and either know the basic Tajweed rules or have completed Kalamullah’s Beginner Tajweed Course, and now want to study every rule in depth.
It introduces only the essential rules in a simple order, so new students build accurate recitation without being overwhelmed by advanced details.
Lessons are patient by design: your teacher recites each rule slowly, you repeat it, and gentle correction continues until it’s right. Each session closes with a few ayat to practice before the next lesson.
Every teacher assigned to Kalamullah's beginner Tajweed course is a native Arabic speaker holding Tajweed certification, with experience teaching students new to Tajweed. Credentials are verified before assignment, so every rule is modeled correctly from the first session.
Tajweed terms can feel overwhelming at first. Kalamullah's teachers explain each rule in plain English with clear examples, so beginners understand what the rule is, when it applies, and how it should sound.
Every beginner Tajweed lesson at Kalamullah is private, so the teacher hears each word the student recites. Mistakes are corrected gently in the moment and repeated until the correct sound is secure.
Kalamullah provides qualified female Tajweed teachers for students who prefer or require a same-gender teacher. The preference is selected at registration and honored from the trial session onward, with no change to scheduling or lesson content.
Kalamullah's beginner curriculum moves from letters to Noon and Meem rules, Madd, Qalqalah, and Waqf in a fixed order. No rule is rushed, and the teacher confirms each one is applied correctly before the student advances.

Book a free trialEach module builds directly on the previous one, giving beginners a clear path from their first Tajweed rule to reciting Juz Amma with confidence.
The course opens with the student reading a short Surah while the teacher checks letter accuracy and fluency. The teacher then explains what Tajweed is and why it protects the meaning of the Quran.
This helps the teacher set a comfortable pace and identify the letters that need attention first.
Students correct the letters beginners most often mispronounce, such as 'Ayn, Ha, Qaf, and the heavy letters, and learn the difference between heavy and light sounds.
By the end of this module, students pronounce the key letters of Juz Amma clearly and consistently.
The teacher introduces Izhar, Idgham, Iqlab, and Ikhfa one at a time, followed by the rules of Meem Sakinah and Ghunnah on Noon and Meem with Shaddah.
Each rule is found and applied in short Surahs before the next is introduced, so rules are never confused.
Students learn the natural Madd and its correct length, are introduced to the basic types of Madd, and practice Qalqalah on its five letters.
The teacher checks each length and echo in recitation until they are applied without prompting.
The final module covers the main Waqf symbols and brings every rule together in recitation of complete Surahs from Juz Amma.
At the close of this module, students recite Juz Amma with the basic rules of Tajweed and are ready for Kalamullah's full Tajweed course.
Every outcome below is something the student can demonstrate to their Kalamullah teacher by the end of the beginner Tajweed course, not simply a topic that was covered during sessions.
