2:45Parent Progress Review (Live)
Live one-to-one lesson example.
Learn the Quran with a tutor who teaches you and only you — live over video, at a time that actually fits your day. Every lesson is planned around where you are right now, whether that's your first surah or advanced Tajweed.
This is what private Quran classes look like when they're built around one student instead of a room full of them: no waiting your turn, no pace set for someone else, and a tutor who changes the plan the moment you need something different.
6–9Our online Quran classes are built around a simple idea: real, live teaching from a qualified tutor, delivered one-on-one, on a schedule that fits your life. After a short assessment, every student — child or adult, complete beginner or returning learner — is placed into the track that matches their current level, then guided step by step through pronunciation, Tajweed and recitation with regular feedback.
This course puts you — or your child — into one on one Quran classes with a single, consistent tutor for the length of the program. Together you’ll work on reading the Arabic letters correctly, Tajweed rules, and fluent recitation, starting exactly where you are today rather than at a fixed group entry point.
It works equally well for a complete beginner who has never opened a Mushaf, and for a student who has already finished a foundational reading course elsewhere and wants one dedicated tutor to carry them further — toward fluency, memorization, or an Ijazah.
A group class moves at one speed for everyone in the room. A personalised Quran tutor moves at yours — repeating a Tajweed rule until it clicks, or picking up the pace the moment you're ready, without holding anyone else back.
It also means nothing gets lost between sessions. Your tutor remembers exactly where last week's lesson ended, so this week starts from there instead of a recap for the whole class.
You keep the same tutor from your first lesson to your last, so nothing has to be re-explained. They track your recitation, your sticking points, and your goals across the whole course, not just one session at a time.
Mistakes in pronunciation or Tajweed are corrected the moment they happen, not after you’ve practiced them wrong for a week. That immediate feedback is one of the biggest advantages one-to-one lessons have over group study.
Lessons are booked around your week, not the other way around. If something comes up, you reschedule with your tutor directly instead of missing a fixed class slot.
Every family gets to choose the tutor they're most comfortable learning with, and that choice stays consistent for the length of the course.
Your tutor keeps a running record of what's been covered — pages read, rules mastered, surahs memorized — so you can see the course move forward, lesson by lesson.

Book a free trialThe course runs as a sequence of stages rather than a fixed weekly syllabus, so a one on one Quran tutor can spend as long as you actually need on each stage before moving on. The pace is set by progress, not the calendar, and the final stage is optional, depending on your goals.
Your first session is a short, relaxed assessment rather than a lesson. Your tutor listens to how you currently read, asks about your goals — fluency, memorization, an Ijazah, or simply confidence — and puts together a plan for the stages ahead. This stage also covers the practical side: preferred lesson times, tutor gender preference, and which materials (mus-haf edition, Tajweed reference) you'll use going forward.
Before Tajweed rules make sense, the letters themselves need to be read correctly and come from the right place in the mouth and throat. Absolute beginners start with the Arabic letters and their forms, then the vowel marks (harakat), sukoon, shadda and tanween, while your tutor listens letter by letter and corrects Makharij live — something far harder to do accurately in a recording or a group setting. This stage moves quickly for students who’ve read before and more carefully for absolute beginners, but it’s never skipped — it’s the foundation everything after it depends on.
Rules like idghaam, qalqalah, and madd are introduced one at a time and practiced immediately in real ayat, not in isolation. Your tutor flags the exact word where a rule applies as you read, so the rule is tied to a real example rather than a definition to memorize. Review is built in — earlier rules resurface in later readings so they stay applied rather than forgotten once a new rule is introduced.
With pronunciation and Tajweed in place, the focus shifts to reading longer passages smoothly, at a natural pace, with correct stops and connections between words. This is where recitation starts to sound the way a fluent reader's does. Your tutor also starts introducing longer surahs and, if it's part of your goal, tracks reading speed and stamina across a full session.
Students who want to go further can move into structured memorization (Hifz) with a spaced review system, or begin working toward an Ijazah — a formal chain of certification in recitation. This stage is entirely optional and is only offered once your tutor confirms your recitation is accurate enough to build on; it's discussed and agreed with you before it starts.
Every stage of this course is built around something you can demonstrate, not just a topic that was “covered.” By the end, a one to one Quran tutor should be able to point to specific progress — something you or your child can do in front of another person, on request, without help.
By this stage, you recognize and correctly pronounce every Arabic letter and its different forms, and you read connected text at a natural pace instead of sounding out each letter one by one.
Short vowels (harakat) are applied correctly as you read, and that accuracy holds on unfamiliar ayat, not just the passages you've already practiced.
You can identify and apply every Tajweed rule covered in your stage inside real text, not just recite the rule from a book, and you catch and correct your own recitation mid-sentence when something sounds off.
You can also explain, in simple terms, why a rule applies where it does — and you carry rules learned earlier into new, longer passages without being reminded.
You can read a passage aloud to a parent, teacher, or the congregation without hesitation, keeping your composure and pace even when your tutor corrects you mid-recitation.
Where memorization is part of your course, you can recite from memory the surahs covered so far, on request, without notes.
You can point to exactly which surahs, pages, or rules you've completed so far, and name which rules or letters still need more practice.
Together with your tutor, you can set a realistic goal for the next stage rather than simply waiting to be told what comes next.
You can recite comfortably for the length of a full session without losing focus, and you practice independently between lessons using what your tutor has assigned.
You've also kept a consistent lesson schedule for the length of the course — the habit itself is part of what this course builds.
You can explain, in your own words, the general meaning of the surahs and passages you've studied, not just recite them correctly.
Your tutor also starts introducing longer surahs and explains the general meaning of the passages you recite, so pauses and emphasis follow the sense of the verse. If it’s part of your goal, your tutor tracks reading speed and stamina across a full session.
Reading about a 1-on-1 lesson only goes so far — watching a few minutes of a real session shows exactly how a tutor works with one student, live.
Short class snippets show how the teacher explains, listens, corrects and confirms progress.

A quick answer to the questions that come up most often before someone books their first trial class — a mix of questions specific to this course and questions about the academy as a whole.
No. The course opens with a short assessment so your tutor can see exactly where you’re starting from. If you can’t yet read Arabic letters, you start at the very beginning; if you already read, you move straight to Tajweed and fluency.
No. All lessons are live over video with a dedicated tutor, not in a physical classroom. You still get the same individual attention an in-person teacher would give, without the commute or being limited to tutors in your area.
We don’t currently offer home visits. Online 1-on-1 lessons bring a dedicated tutor to you over video, wherever you are, without scheduling around someone traveling to your house.
You can reschedule directly with your tutor with reasonable notice, since lessons are one-to-one rather than tied to a fixed group timetable.
Yes. You can request a male or female tutor when you book your trial lesson, and that preference stays with you for the rest of the course.
Yes. Once your tutor confirms your recitation is accurate enough to build on, you can move into a structured memorization track or start working toward an Ijazah as an extension of this course.
